Heidi P. Jordan (formerly Heidi Pulkkinen) has had a full-time mediation and guardian ad litem practice in Farmington since 1999. She serves as a court appointed guardian ad litem and court mediator in several central and Western Maine courts and has a private mediation practice in Farmington Maine as well. With a Master's degree in child development and over a decade of experience teaching in the Maine public school system, she is now committed to advocating for the best interest of children that are caught in the cross fire of conflicting parents. She is currently an executive committee member of the Maine Guardian ad litem Institute; an arbitrator for the Bar Overseers Fee Arbitration Commission; and a member of the Maine Association of Mediators. "From my perspective, guardian ad litem work involves, first and foremost, understanding the needs of the child. Sometimes those needs are forgotten by one or both parents as they separate or divorce. Sometimes parents don't understand what their child's needs are. My guardian ad litem work involves advocacy for the child within the family as well as in the court. I apply my experience as an educator, my training in child development and my training as a family court mediator in this interesting and enjoyable work with families. I have been a full-time Guardian ad litem for seven years in several counties in central and Western Maine, primarily in Family Court."

Hourly Rate: $95
