Basic philosophies - Act as I would want another stranger coming into my family making such important recommendations to act, i.e., thoroughly investigate, be kind and model respectful behavior between the parties, develop good rapport with children and parents, and provide detailed report with my rationale. Role is quasi-judicial and diplomat all rolled into one. Biased toward supporting children's education and maximizing children's contact with both parents and extended family members as is feasible and in the children's best interests.
