Education: Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Columbia University

I have been a family therapist for 40 years. My work has concentrated on the family during and after divorce for much of this time. I have developed the concept of the "expanded family" for the family after divorce, striving for collaboration among the parts of the family. I am the author of numerous professional and popular articles on the subject of divorce and have delivered trainings on the subject of the family and divorce in such diverse places as Israel, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, France, Ireland, Greece. I am also now designated a Parenting Coordinator to be able to work in that capacity with families after divorce to create a more harmonious family functioning. I am Director of Freeport Counseling Center, a State licensed family therapy clinic. I also direct the Training Division of the International Family Therapy Association and am a member of the American Family Therapy Association.
